Fire Flash Plant is a clumping houseplant with arching green leaves and vivid orange stems. Mature plants may send out long runners tipped with small plantlets called spiderettes. The contrast between green foliage and orange growth gives it a bright tropical look. Its manageable size and straightforward care suit shelves, stands, or tabletops with strong filtered light.

Light requirements
Fire Flash Plant prefers bright indirect light at 150 to 250 μmol·m⁻²·s⁻¹. A PAR meter or PAR meter app can measure this PPFD range.
Place it about 5 ft / 1.5 m from a south, west, or east-facing window.
Do not give the foliage a direct view of the sky. Use a sheer curtain if sunlight reaches the leaves.
Too much direct sun may scorch the foliage or fade the orange stems.
Too little light slows growth and weakens stem color. Rotate the container to maintain a balanced clump.
Watering
Water Fire Flash Plant when the topsoil feels dry to the touch. Check the soil before each watering because drying speed changes with light, temperature, and pot size.
Use room temperature rainwater, distilled water, or reverse osmosis water.
Water until the root ball is evenly moist and excess flows through the drainage holes. Let it drain completely before returning the pot to a saucer or decorative planter.
Water considerably less in winter when active growth slows.
Constant wetness can cause root rot. Long dry periods may lead to wilting and crispy leaf edges. Drainage holes are essential.
Soil
Fire Flash Plant grows well in an organic all-purpose potting mix. The blend should retain some moisture but allow excess water to leave quickly. For a DIY recipe, combine 3 parts Coir with 1 part Pumice, then top dress with Worm Castings. Avoid heavy soil that stays saturated.
Feeding
Apply an organic all-purpose fertilizer every 2 to 4 weeks from March to October. Use the product at its labeled strength and apply it to moist soil. Do not overfeed Fire Flash Plant or fertilize dry roots. Stop routine applications during winter.
Temperature & humidity
Fire Flash Plant prefers 65 to 75 °F / 18 to 24 °C. Protect it from cold drafts, heaters, and sudden temperature shifts. Its ideal humidity is 40 to 50%. Average indoor humidity generally works, though very dry air may brown the leaf tips.
What to expect
Fire Flash Plant reaches maturity in about 2 to 3 years. It can grow 12 to 18 in / 30 to 45 cm tall and spread to 24 in / 60 cm. Growth is moderate, with the clump widening and mature plants producing runners with plantlets.
