Yucca Plant forms a sturdy, palm-like trunk topped by rosettes of stiff, sword-shaped leaves. Its upright structure brings height to a room without a wide, branching canopy. The sharp-looking foliage creates a strong architectural effect. This easy houseplant suits bright interiors and growers who prefer infrequent watering. It can become a large floor specimen, so allow enough vertical space and keep the pointed leaves away from busy walkways.

Yucca Plant prefers bright, indirect light measuring 150 to 250 μmol·m⁻²·s⁻¹. Reliable light keeps the trunk sturdy and the leaf rosettes compact.
- Position it 5 ft / 1.5m from a south, west or east-facing window.
- Select a spot without a direct view of the sky. Filter unavoidable sunlight with a sheer curtain.
- Strong direct sun may scorch leaves. Too little light can produce weak, stretched growth and leaning stems.
- A PAR meter or PAR meter app can measure photosynthetically active radiation as PPFD (μmol·m⁻²·s⁻¹).
